Lithuanian Refinery Modernisation Faces Potential Additional Cost of €500 Million

On 5 November, Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius said Orlen Lietuva had warned that additional taxes could affect its investment plans. The refinery has already invested more than €800 million in modernisation, while a further cost of up to €500 million has been discussed as a possible requirement to complete the work, not a confirmed new contract.
